Please read these Terms carefully before using Waves. By using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Waves.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Waves application ("App") or visiting waves.news ("Website"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Waves ("we," "us," or "our").
You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use Waves. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Description of Service
Waves is an AI-powered audio news application that delivers short, personalized audio briefings based on topics you select. The content is generated or curated by AI from publicly available news sources.
Important: Waves provides news summaries for informational purposes only. The content is not intended as investment, legal, medical, or professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals for such matters.
3. Account Registration
To access personalized features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Not share your account credentials with others
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Free and Premium Plans
Free plan: Access to a curated selection of daily audio briefings at no cost.
Premium plan (coming soon): Enhanced access to more briefings, categories, and features. Premium pricing and features will be announced when available.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies. We do not process payments directly.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Waves for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or proprietary content
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download audio or content from the app
- Use automated tools to access the service
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the service in a way that could harm other users or third parties
6. Intellectual Property
All content generated by Waves — including audio briefings, scripts, app design, and the Waves brand — is owned by or licensed to Waves. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
The underlying news facts reported in briefings are not owned by us. Original articles belong to their respective publishers.
7. User Content
You may share briefings via links. By sharing a briefing, you are sharing a link to our content — you do not acquire ownership or licensing rights to that content.
Your interest selections, listening history, and preferences are used only to personalize your experience as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Waves is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content will always be accurate.
AI-generated summaries may occasionally contain errors or omissions. We encourage you to verify important information through primary sources.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waves and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability survive termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction where Waves operates.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of Waves after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Aceptación de los términos
Al descargar, instalar o usar la aplicación Waves ("App") o visitar waves.news ("Sitio web"), aceptas estos Términos de Servicio ("Términos"). Constituyen un acuerdo legalmente vinculante entre tú y Waves ("nosotros").
Debes tener al menos 13 años (o 16 en la UE/Reino Unido) para usar Waves.
2. Descripción del servicio
Waves es una aplicación de noticias de audio impulsada por IA que entrega briefings cortos y personalizados según los temas que selecciones.
Importante: Waves proporciona resúmenes de noticias con fines informativos únicamente. El contenido no constituye asesoramiento de inversión, legal, médico o profesional.
3. Registro de cuenta
Para acceder a las funciones personalizadas debes crear una cuenta. Aceptas:
- Proporcionar información precisa y actualizada
- Mantener la seguridad de tu contraseña
- Notificarnos de inmediato cualquier acceso no autorizado
- No compartir tus credenciales con terceros
Eres responsable de toda la actividad que ocurra bajo tu cuenta.
4. Planes gratuito y premium
Plan gratuito: Acceso a una selección curada de briefings diarios sin coste.
Plan Premium (próximamente): Acceso ampliado a más briefings, categorías y funcionalidades. Los precios se anunciarán cuando esté disponible.
Las compras dentro de la app las procesa Apple App Store o Google Play Store y están sujetas a sus respectivos términos y políticas de reembolso.
5. Uso aceptable
Aceptas no:
- Usar Waves con fines ilegales
- Intentar descompilar, hacer ingeniería inversa o extraer nuestros modelos de IA
- Raspar o descargar sistemáticamente audio o contenido de la app
- Usar herramientas automatizadas para acceder al servicio
- Suplantar la identidad de personas o entidades
- Intentar acceder sin autorización a nuestros sistemas
6. Propiedad intelectual
Todo el contenido generado por Waves — incluyendo briefings de audio, guiones, diseño y la marca Waves — es propiedad de Waves o está licenciado a Waves. No puedes reproducirlo, distribuirlo ni crear obras derivadas sin nuestro permiso expreso por escrito.
7. Contenido del usuario
Puedes compartir briefings mediante enlaces. Al compartir uno, estás compartiendo un enlace a nuestro contenido — no adquieres derechos de propiedad sobre el mismo.
Tus selecciones de intereses, historial de escucha y preferencias se usan únicamente para personalizar tu experiencia, tal y como se describe en nuestra Política de Privacidad.
8. Exención de garantías
Waves se proporciona "tal cual" y "según disponibilidad" sin garantías de ningún tipo. No garantizamos que el servicio sea ininterrumpido, libre de errores ni que el contenido sea siempre preciso.
Los resúmenes generados por IA pueden contener ocasionalmente errores u omisiones. Te recomendamos verificar la información importante en fuentes primarias.
9. Limitación de responsabilidad
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, Waves y sus afiliados no serán responsables de ningún daño indirecto, incidental, especial o consecuente derivado del uso — o imposibilidad de uso — del servicio.
Nuestra responsabilidad total ante cualquier reclamación no superará el importe que nos hayas pagado en los 12 meses anteriores a la reclamación.
10. Terminación
Nos reservamos el derecho a suspender o cancelar tu cuenta en cualquier momento por incumplimiento de estos Términos. Puedes eliminar tu cuenta desde los ajustes de la app o contactándonos.
11. Ley aplicable
Estos Términos se rigen e interpretan de conformidad con las leyes aplicables. Cualquier disputa se resolverá mediante arbitraje vinculante o ante los tribunales competentes donde opera Waves.
12. Cambios en los términos
Podemos actualizar estos Términos ocasionalmente. Te notificaremos cambios materiales mediante notificación en la app o por correo. El uso continuado de Waves implica la aceptación de los Términos actualizados.
